This original photo was taken at the entrance of the Cave. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) began developing the area and projects were ongoing at the time of this photo.

Mammoth Cave would not be dedicated for another six years.

The date is written on the back of the photo.

I’m not sure who these people are (Visitors? Staff? Both?) behind the Cave’s entrance sign.

The photo is 5 x 7 inches and has a few crinkles and a small gouge in the upper right border (doesn’t affect the picture, though).

Overall, as you can see from the listing, it’s in pretty good shape.

NOTE: Because I'm out of state, I would be happy to ship the photo free of charge.
